Only 47 cars showed up for this first annual show on the streets of La Jolla. To parallel comments from the Dana Point show, several cars from south LA drove thru some heavy rain to get here. We had overcast skys and a nice cool ocean breeze all day!

Busses, Square backs, Combis, bugs, rat rods, dune buggys, speedsters, spyders and a Harlequin (look it up).

A Perry Designs spyder was on a full length VW pan and had a 2.7 liter TIV out back.

A type 1 had a functioning Judson supercharger putting out ~5 psi into a 1600 engine.

Fenderless VolkZrod had the front beam extended about 12 inches forward to get the right look and stance. Whole front axle was bolt-on extension. Wide white walls and painted wheels gave a very nice period look.

On a half dozen occassions,I let pre-teenage boys climb speedy to let dad take their picture. Building memories. In one case, dad jumped in after his son climbed out!

All show cars were legally angle parked on a public street. At one point, about half a dozen folks were grouped behind speedy inspecting it when a new Ferrari 599 Convertible drove by in all its V 12 glory. Not one single head even turned to look! That really made my day.
