Allard Club Gathering in Tennessee

The gathering will be in my neck of the woods this coming October. Fall colors you know. Possibly as many as a dozen of these rare and exotic racing cars will be visiting East Tennessee at that time. My neighbor and friend is directing the event.

Is that a real J2X? I know they make replicars of them. I have never seen a white one before, in fact only seen red and a few blacks. Can't say the white does it right but I remember riding in one of those things years ago, a Cad Allard and it was awesome, guess they didn't turn too good but the straight line grunt was pretty impressive for 1958. A real English hybrid/rod.

Bruce, this is a replica. I expect a real J2X would cost a bundle. I tried to talk Jerry into red after I saw one painted that color on the internet. I suspect Gordon Nichols will like the color. It has a 351 Windsor and it sounds pretty mean. Jerry has only had it on the road a couple of weeks and is trying to sort it out. He purchased it as an incomplete kit and must love Allards since he has a Palm Beach model (an original) also.

Funny PS. Kind of like us older Speedy owners who have to drop the top in order to make an entry in ours. Not quite that bad, but almost!
