Yeah, what the guy has accomplished is very cool. At just over 1,000 lbs, imagine that thing with a 160 hp 2 liter
I want one. Badly.
There is a two-page article on the builder and the car in the January 20 issue of Autoweek. Apparently #23 was sold and he has an order to build a second. "The chassis is a Formula Vee racer with the roll hoop cut off and the cockpit widened. It is powered by a 92-hp 1.2-liter engine with a 912 crakshaft. The wheelbase is 83.5 inches and a 7-gallon fuel cell sits behind the seat...His grand plan is to build five coupes and five spyders." Builder is Chris Runge from Minnesota, is a former USASA national snowboard champion. Neat car.

Stan- Can you imagine that thing with a big engine and a 5 speed? It'd be a rocket!
$60K all the sudden looks reasonable.
Somebody hide the checkbook.
I need that car!!!!
It would be a fun ride. Just don't think Hotfoot would be okay with a single seat - unless she was driving, of course.
I wonder what it could bring at the BJ auction. Wouldn't mind seeing the headlights incorporated into the front fenders.
