One of the nicest spyders ever made.

Car is headed back to Carey soon -- contact me or Carey Hines at Special Edition if anyone is interested! It is a nice car for sure! Drives great!
Now this is a surprise.
Yup. More surprises coming Rich! Come July, I post some new photos...
I've got one word:
Aluminum :-)
I believe Anand.
An aluminum reproduction spyder would be nothing sort of spectacular.
I can't wait to see what's next,
Ted
Alloycars based in Florida makes alum spyder bodies starting at $149K
Anand
I will be in South Bend in 2 weeks. Thinking about visiting with Carey. Will your car be there by then?
Phil,
Might be just a bit after that -- I think Carey's shop is drowning in cars. He has to deliver a few to make room for this one!
I can't believe I'm reading about this here, I feel slighted.
Just Kidding.
Far from it Troy & Richard! It's pretty new info.

You've seen the car. You commented that the engine bay was dirty, remember?
Pat Downs built the motor, and the guy who bought it is a professional motorcyclist. He used to teach at Skip Barber. When I started the car up (2160cc), he was smiling from ear to ear. He commented multiple times how nice the motor sounded! Hats off to Pat for a great engine and to Carey for an amazing build.

I'm a bonehead. The link is right there! And Anand - that engine bay!!!

There are only a few cars that come as close to a sport bike as the exhilaration of a fast spyder...a caterham and an atom come to mind. But the combination of quickness and beauty. Nothing beats a spyder. Bike guys love spyders.
Back in the day I had a spyder in my garage parked next to a Buell M2 Cyclone. Little kids are cheap, older ones not so much. Those were the days.
So, Anand, now you have a few bucks to fly out to Carlisle. I have a spare seat with a roof.
Rich...I'm tempted! Thank you for the invitation! Would be great to see you. The new money will be redirected to my next "alloy" pursuit, but maybe I can swing it!
Anand
If you have the time, it's really a great weekend and a way to put a face and personality to the names. Hope you can swing it. I and I'm sure every one else would love to meet you in person.
I'm a little late, but it is absolutely gorgeous.
Sort of DeLoreanish but much more nice.
