Thanks to all out here who gave great advice while I was looking (and making silly mistakes) for my speedster. You all said to wait and be patient. You were right. I'm happy to say it came home last night on the trailer from Jersey. A Fiberfab with so much new in the box it's not funny. New windshield, interior, electrical, etc. in the boxes or bags. The guy wanted it off his lot so I got an amazing deal -really. I still can't believe it myself. Super nice guy.

 

Since I've done my trip I won't be going to Carlisle. If anyone wants an extra pass let me know. I think I can send you the confirm. More beer money for you! couple anyway.

I had several auto searches setup on EBay and List Alert. I got crap for weeks then a couple Fridays ago I gave me an auction where the guy listed it as Kit / Make. He's a mustang guy so all he knew was his emloyee left it at his shop after a nasty divorce. The starting bid was $700 I think. I knew that it would take off once people found it. He had it listed locally as well. After a few IPAs and arguing with myself, I put in an offer of $3k and said I would take it out of his shop within the week. It was what he wanted to hear. He had an extra engine and pan etc. with it that I'll hock to bring me down to a starting point of around $2K.

 

The pan is already shortened, body looks good. The boxes of new gear that came with was unreal. All new electrical and instruments. New interior, rag top, bumpers in the wrapper etc. etc. While I was giddy as all get out with this I did feel bad that the guy who bought all this and did the work only to get screwed in a divorce.
