This is the one where I have to get out of bed 2 hours earlier than the usual time.  We have to be out of the restaurant parking lot when they open at 9:00.

The Bruce Buick this time is a newer station waggle.

There were several electric motorcycles.

I didn't realize that Aston Martin was building SUVs.

The silver MGB has a Toyota engine.

Chrysler & Plymouth in the late '50s and early '60s were absolute psychos. As Exhibit A I proffer the "Long Ram" dual quad intake, which was fundamentally a factory tunnel ram, made of iron, which spread the carbs about three feet apart and rendered valve adjustments on the 413 Wedge motors a contortionist's nightmare—and an necessity, as they were all solid lifter engines.

Friends, they were hot rodders. Lunatics. They were just like us.

That Buick has port holes but they are so subtle you can hardly see them in the little chrome trim .  I guess they shrink over time ? Thank you Michael.   The 59 Plymouth would do 0  to 60 in 7 seconds.  and 110 wide open with a 2bbl carb. I road tested my Dad's demo on a few dates to impress the girls.  I also got to drive a 300C with the cross ram dual Carter AFB's. It definitely would get to 130+. I raced my Brother who had a 58 Chevy DelRey with a 348 cid and the three  2bbl carbs with solid lifters. The Chrysler walked the dog on it for top speed. Drag race was a different story.  I was always glad my Dad never found out what we did with his Demo's when he let us use them on occasion.  They were still using ball bearing wheel bearings back then.

DeSoto Firedome and Chrysler FirePower Hemi's were something to drool over in those days............Bruce
