I know Carlisle is still 3 months away, but I wanted to push it a bit for those who may think their cars won't be ready, aren't good enough, etc.
I really think that anyone who is into these cars should come to this event if at all possible. If you are into you car enough to be active on this website, I know you'd have a blast at Carlisle. I realize that it's a long way for those of you west of the Mississippi, but we'd love to have you, with or without your Speedster. I'm sure you can get some seat time in while you're here. If not, I'm hoping to meet many of you at the Colorado gathering (probably sans car).
Don't forget the tour we have planned for the Harley-Davidson plant, the many car-related museums in the area, the dinners and cruises planned, etc.
My main reason for this post is to push the folks in the southeast to join us in the caravan north. If your car is anywhere near roadworthy, you have plenty of time to get it ready for the trip. It's not really a bad drive at all, particularly in a caravan with others who can help if the need arises. Gordon set up a block of room in Carlisle and I'm sure that there are a few left. Those of us coming from the southeast are staying the Wednesday night before and the Sunday night after in Christiansburg, VA. So far we have folks from South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee all coming together. I know of more cars in GA and SC, as well as several in NC that I'd love to get to join us.
Please let me know if you're interested. I can provide the contact info for both hotels, and we can plan meeting points along the way for the caravan. I'll bump this thread up occassionally to keep pushing. I can be very annoying, just ask my wife.
