I'd say you'd only get to keep the front quarters and hood. The nose, doors, dash and entire back end are changed. It'd be easier to take a mold from your current body, create a foam plug from that, shape the foam to the new design and then pull a new mold off that. Unless you can just do the entire one-off body in aluminum like he did.
Actually I only want to incorporate the rear grille area to facilitate the stock type 4 configuration, I think it could be done if I make my own grille and cut out the necessary area, suspend the license plate out a bit from the grille. I'll have to try and photoshop something tho in the time to figure out photoshop I could just do it. 8-)!
I think making sure everything is sealed up inside properly. Just never seen one done with that kind of grille in the lower position, all on the deck lid. I saw a photo of that car in the works and it looked like Dink used two grilles side by side initially.
