Any carpet install tips? | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

Just received my carpet from VS. Laid out the pieces and its looks like an impossible puzzle. The only part I can identify is the strip that goes over the hump. The flap is there for the VIN and a hole cut out for the handbrake but no hole for the shifter. I also have 2 pieces of padding and can only assume the go under the dash. I didn't get a change to try any lay anything out in the car yet but it sure looks comfusing.
Anyone have any steps as to what goes where, and what gets laid first? Pics of a finished lay would be helpful. Also, I know 3M makes a spray product but don't know the make of a possible local store that sells it. Appriciate any advice.

All I can say is good luck; that project was not something I would ever want to do again.

My advice is simple: Pay someone else to do it!
