What the heck? Retired A..!
This red VS I had my eye on here in town for 5 years, a Realtor owned it..very nice car that needed a bit of attention and will be done tomorrow.
Very nice color combo with tan interior and top!
Great curb appeal.
For Sale ...I just finished the VS red super wide body , I am way more than pleased with the way it turned out and the engine barks :~) Clear 1965 WV title .... $ 27,500 is the SOC member buy price. before I list on eBay Sunday night . ~Alan aka Drclock 717 860 8476
Another beauty, Alan.
It's kind of the Kim Kardashian of Speedsters.
Perhaps. But at least Alan's car has a purpose...
I didn't intend to disparage it. Some people like big butts. I have been rethinking it and now think it is the Nicki Minaj of Speedsters.
All in good humor, Michael.
BTW, my speedster has a little bigger butt than normal also.
Big butts are okay, when attached to the right body.
I happen to love the Super Wide Body 356
I have a picture of Troy Sloan's navy blue with tan interior (license WIDE 356) on my desktop. Beautiful example imo.
There was a super wide with a hard top for sale at a dealer last year that turned out to be a disaster story but would be the ultimate for me; hard top and convertible, depending on the day.
It was silver to me (could well be grey in your eyes).
It was on ebay and the eventual buyer (closed before the auction) had a hard top built for it before shipping back east to him.
If you saw the car, you'd remember the Mendeola True Performance s-2 Front suspension kit and their TrueTrack rear suspension kit as well. The thing looked absolutely killer. Unfortunately, the buyer found all kinds of issues and a little digging revealed that the car had been front-end totaled previously and it was not disclosed by the dealer.
What a nightmare but he got his money back and returned the car.
I know the car he is talking about and it really was a nightmare. Not sure I believe it, but the last I heard it was back with the dealer in Santa Barbara who bought it back from the poor guy he sold it to and he was going to destroy it.
I saw it at Vintage and you could clearly see the extensive front end repair work that had been done, but it had a beautiful interior and the top looked great.
@Troy Sloan do you have the contact info of the dealership?

Sorry, I don't but he had two Super Widebody cars and he was in Santa Barbara.

Like the distressed leather interior look. I almost bought an Audi TT with the base ball glove leather stitched interior before I read about Audi repair costs.
I inquired about that car but seller was not too responsive at that time.
Which one? @calmotion
Wolfgang the tt. with baseball was a nice combo for sure, I was tempted myself
I put a bid in for $1001 to get you started ..... still shows $10
Thanks , it's a nice one ....~Alan
