The Motorweek Car-nival was great. The weather was perfect, the venue was nice and there were lots of great cars of all types. Maggie had a last minute work obligation so I was flying solo. I chose to drive the 75 minute drive out along the Potomac river on country roads for a really nice cruise.
Met up with several speedster friends. Paul and Glenn were there of course. Alan Hais was there in his beautiful NXS. Rowan was there. Steve Maglidt was there in his Cobra having lost his speedster to a driver pulling out in his lane (this is sounding way to all familiar).
The auction was interesting. I should have bid on a 82' Westfalia in nice condition that went for $7300. (Maggie wants one). There was professional judging of the car show by Motorweek staff and Maggie's outlaw won a special recognition ribbon. Pretty nice day in all.
This was a well run event with lots to do/see and tasty food vendors. This was my first time at this show and I'll be back -- Syl
