They're a few minutes from my father, and there's a reference to Mr. Preuss' ProSpyder in the ad itself. The car boasts a hardtop and loads of other goodies.

I'm selling both of the replicas that I built to see if there was a market for them in the Midwest. I am a consultant and was looking for a way to supplement the project-based income doing something I really like: working with special-interest cars. Unfortunately, build time and costs mean that I cannot make a profit from Speedsters and Spyders. To further complicate my situation, I have just recently experienced some significant health problems added to previous health issues connected to my military service. So now I need to sell both cars. More information is available here: http://prospydercars.com/
I consigned them to Motoexotica, a specialty car business near my home. The MSRP for the Spyder is based on the current asking price for a turnkey Spyder from Thunder Ranch. Check their web site. Other sellers are pricing their Spyders and Speedster similar to the MSRPs shown in the auctions.
Regarding the carburetors, the Spyder was built by SCAT to the same specs that TR uses for their cars. The transaxle from TransWorks was also built to those specs, even down to the tire sizes and tire manufacturer.
As noted in the auctions, both cars will sell for a loss, since the reserve prices are considerably below the MSRP.
If you are interested in either car, PM me with questions. Since the cars are consigned to Motoexotica, any sale will need to go through them.

P S The Speedster is titled as a 1955 Porsche replica even though it has '57 Speedster tail lights. It was simpler to title both cars as 1955s.
