If you could do something about the radio, and assuming it runs well, it wouldn't be a bad deal.

If you wanted to be certain of a good, sound used car on the East Coast, you would do well to get ahold of Dr. Clock; Alan Merklin. He dismantles and reassembles a couple every year, and is just finishing one up now.
He's on vacation someplace warm, but still checks in daily.

Matt, looks good but pix you posted are not best quality (kinda hard to see)... I'd do what Cory said and check with the "Doc" first... of course others will chime in too. that's why were here to help YOU spend YOUR money!

It's A CMC perhaps built by one of their builders. Sure look like the stock CMC Vintage gauge arrangement (not VDO). With Cory that radio needs to be hidden under the dash. Nice start for not much $ (I have over that in my CMC kit and it still isn't on the road).
The CMC has a 2 in square metal cross member behind the dash that I would think, makes it pretty tough to mount a radio like that? Unless it's only a couple inches deep?

Only 4.5" to bar - although it might just clear the top of bar.
So I'm assuming that by removing the radio and remounting it underneath, that I would have to remat this hole with new fiberglass and repaint it, eh? Still, all and all, it sounds like a good bargain. Thanks for the info.
