I have access to purchase a beautiful reproduction of a correct Speedster roof frame. Correct to the point that I can buy a roof upholstery intended for an original Speedster from Stoddard and use it. The question is; has anyone here installed an original Speedster roof frame in an Intermeccanica? I've always felt the biggest downfall with the replicas are the roof frames. Thanks in advance for any information!

I always thought the simple 2 bow Speedster top frame was an authentic repro of the original Speedster emergency top. A Google search shows that AutoAtlanta has a parts diagram of a more substantial top frame. Header will need work though. In another thread here "we" discussed the $500 MX repro but it didn't receive rave review from the one SOCer (Mango) who tried and rejected it.

That looks very much like the Beck Speedster top frame.
