Their glass thickness looks to be minimal, who wants to have to bond fiberglass doors, deck and hood. If you have a desire to build from scratch and have the ability to do so, get a VS kit but know that building a speedster is labor intensive and fabrication skills are necessary. Another option is to buy a VS roller done to where you are comfortable in fininishing the build. (You can get decent build info here ) An unassembled CMC pops up now and then but you need to do a complete and detailed parts inventory as the costs of parts can burna hole in both pockets.
~Alan.. currently on speedster project #22.
Looks like not even the steel subframe is installed. Look at how the engine lid "doesn't match the profile of opening". I'd like to see the "cheap aluminum windshield frame post" --- if they called them merely "inexpensive" I'd bite but simply cheap scares me off. You'd be better off with a Street Beasts kit, I'd imagine. There's been complete running cars listed here for $9k.

They do have interesting inventory though - check out the "Porsche Speedster rear seat CORRECTIVE SURGERY" piece.
My own very limited experience with rusty tubs leaves me thinking they promise more than they deliver. You will notice the Speedster rear seating area tray is "out of stock". I tried to order one nearly 3 years ago, it was out of stock then and I think out of stock since. Their general approach of "don't visit us we are too busy to deal with customers" leaves me a bit flat also....
$99,000 for a cardboard box of rusted Speedster body parts? I know of a "complete with badges" 1961 356 on blocks rusted to be sure in S.D. county but the guy wouldnt sell at $4000. But that was all the potential buyer offered him.I should beat the address out of him and offer more? I guess so, of course it would be the only year and model worth $3000 with my luck.
