However they are out of stock till Thursday, i will call back and see if I am getting jerked or not.

Marty--I bet you can re-glue the carpet; use the spray 3-M "90" product. If you can't re use it I'm sure you can order just the piece(s) you need from Kirk.

I just stripped my interior to improve the pan surface with ryustproofing and brush-on truck bed liner and Dynamat. Much of the carpet looks like it could be reused---maybe hit the dried old glue with a good heat gun first.

What sort of a gas gauge sender are you planning with a larger tank?
Vintage should be same as my JPS. I installed a 16 gallon tank some time ago. I rebent the sender and then added an extension to get a better reading. I'm still homing in on a reading I like, but it all works fine. Don't remember HOW I bent it, perhaps the pix will help.

My 16 gallon tank also required a large hole in the hood inner panel to clear the tank filler neck. Filler neck clears the outer panel by a good half inch. The old front trunk carpet is roughly same shape, but my tank now sits higher, so I have a "bare belly button" showing on my tank. Hope this helps, enjoy.
