I have the dual tipped Monza on Super Silver Haze. The car is a 2110 w/Dels and has a real nice low hammer like sound when accelerating and between 3-4000 RPMs the sound is loud and spectacular. To my ear any way.

At first I thought they looked kinda tacky the way a single pipe splits - looked funny, but the car really sounds great. I do have to be careful there is a cop bait thing with the sound...

Come on by and I'll take you for a ride, play the tune 1-4-3-2...

A Monza exhaust was on the 2180cc when I bought the car. As part of the rebuild of the motor to make it super reliable and cool running, I put the A1 Sidewinder 1 5/8" on. It alone dropped the running temperature by 20 degrees. Large, high performance engines require a larger exhaust system with low back pressure to get the heat out.

In all fairness, the Monza is probably OK in a stock or very mild motor.

The quality of the ceramic coated A1 Sidewinder is superb and the Magnaflow SS muffler is only loud in city traffic, which is a plus. At cruise, it quiets down. It was one of the best upgrades made to the motor.
I currently have the dual tip Monza style on my 1600cc dp,, and it is pretty good. Although I don't think it is particularly durable,, since this is the 2nd one I have owned (first one cracked). For low displacements,, I wondered if this unit would be a good choice.

Say,, would anyone happen to know what the center to center distance would be on that pipe's exits ?? It would be same as a VW's valance cutouts.

Alan
