anyone know what this is called?

Anyone out there know what this part is called? It is an aluminum part which bolts horizontally onto the crankcase and joins the carb linkage together in the centre. Another bolt than screws vertically into it. It is from an older Weber carb setup. It has cracked and I am having trouble finding a replacement. Please help. Thx. Tim.

Sorry I can't help with the name. But, I can suggest you find a machinist who works for beer. Usually if you find the right guy, explain what the part is for, he'll probably make you one.

I currently work with a guy who has his own shop and works for Moosehead 16 oz. bottles.

If all else fails contact me, fax over a sketch and I'll see what he would charge (probably money not beer)

Thanks for your reply Jerome, I am thinking of changing my linkage to the more modern hex-bar style which runs overtop of everything. This might solve my problems with hard to find parts. Has anyone out there used the CB Performance Linkage system? Tim.

My car has the CB hex-bar linkage; I think all new IM's come with it as CB Performance builds Henry's engines.

Is that the carb linkage, or are you talking about the carb-manifold pre heater? If it's dual carb linkage, everyone loves the hex bar linkage. If your running dual Kads, then A.J. Sims is your source. Other duals, CB Performance.
