Hi there,
I've been looking into purchasing a 550 replica, but I've yet to see one in person... Does anyone own one in Wisconsin that would let me see it, just to see it and hear your stories of owning it? I'm seriously weighing the options and seeing one in person would help a lot!
I'm in the Waukesha area (Waukesha, WI), but am willing to travel! I just want to see one in person and learn more about them at this point.

There was a guy in Wisconsin named LTL Bastard on spyderclub.com. His last post was 2014 and he was selling his car. I'm pretty sure his first name was Chad.
Waukesha, WI to Bremen, IN is only a 3 hour drive. If you really want to see one I'd call Carey at Special Edition and see if he has one in the process that you could look at. Then make it a road trip to see it. You could probably get a lot of answers if you show up with tacos and Dr Pepper.
Take Roberts advice. You will be totally informed after that visit. Probably even drive one while your there ! best time and money you will spend !............Bruce

Yeah I have probably 20 of them in various stages of completion from ready to ship to fresh out of the mold.
Damn. I grew up working in the wrong place, completely.

Not today, however. Today the best advise is to hunker down and ride this little bit of Midwest love out to it's logical conclusion.
It got up to 3* F today and somehow snowed 6". So much for "too cold to snow much"...
Same weather here. Fresh 10" of snow on top of the 10-12" we already had packed down... Negative double digits tonight, oh the joys...

yeah they are stacking up awaiting test drives... I can drive in the cold but not the snow/ice.
I have an idea! Have Fincher bring a bunch of 'em down here and we can test drive 'em. Each one will get a punch list and he can bring 'em back up there for final fettling. Problem solved! I'm sure @jblessing would prefer to visit Charleston this time of year anyway.

@chines1 do you guys still have the Brazil connection?
Currently 84F and partly cloudy in Sao Paulo. I could live with that!
I believe they gave up Brazil for sunny Bremen. 
Minor surgery is when they do it to someone else!
I still have several friends who live in Brazil, but the majority of them jumped ship and moved to the states. I do very little business there anymore. A handful of oddball parts from VW and a few aftermarket suppliers is about tall.
