I have been researching, emailing and calling trying to find a 1915+ motor for my speedster that is soon to be here.

I thought maybe if someone on here was looking to upgrade their motor or something maybe they would want to sell the nice 1915 + to me.. ?

Im in Nebraska so shipping or close proximity to me would be nice.

I dont want a race car by any means, i just want to be able to pass cars doing 60 when they are going too slow on our nebraska highways!

Any suggestions on engine builder? Ive been quoted $3000 on the average for a motor which my original budget was $2500 but its close.

$3000. dollars for a turn key 1914 is a deal ! ! All new top end items would be almost $1000. alone. A 1914 long block with the accompanying goodies for just $2000. is worth it. If the parts are quality and the builder is qualified, it a deal.

Talk to your builder and post a list of the parts being used in the long block. What cam grind and manufacturer, push rods, con rods, pistons and barrels, heads, springs, valve sizes, etc., etc.

Then ask what carbs. dist., alt., pump, pulleys, tin, etc., etc., are being provided/installed.

Is the engine wet run and set-up prior to delivery? is it clutch to pulley complete, or long or shrot or turn key or?

Gotta have more info, but $3000. would be a deal around here.

Luck,

TC
