FiberFab purchased molds from IM when they were still in California, FF then sold speedster molds to CMC which,  was shuttered by the Florida Attorney General.

Auto Resolutions was created as part of the court settlement to supply disgruntled customers with kits and parts not delivered by CMC.

Shortly thereafter, Street Beasts popped up as the CMC replacement (surprise... same high pressure sales tactics and King Levine still in the Pilot House.

Street-Beasts couldn't make it due to their parts being specific to their street rods only and overall crap workmanship, hence they went belly up .......so there you have it.

-Engine lid grill, typical CMC.

-The "Speedster" on the dash is incorrect sb/ "porsche", lower case gold/silver tones.

-The dash vinyl goes completely across the dash, Vintage stops short.

-The passenger grab handle is too far inboard.

-The front bumper is too far away from the body.

-The EMPI shifter, is not typical VS.

-The VW dash switches are typical CMC/FiberFab

-Abarth/Monza style exhaust is typical CMC.

-The Momo steering is not a Nardi.

NOW after all that nit picky, this is still a nice car and for very little, you could bring this into top shelf.

I have a CMC, and based upon what I see this is a

good buy.

Just one guy's opinion, "objects in the mirror maybe closer"

Art and Doc pretty much nailed it. The engine grill and the dash are the two biggest tells. The seats, the gauges, and the interior are the others.

I have a CMC myself. It's just a series of things you pick up after driving one for a while.

For the sake of component quality, those three are all pretty much the same car. Early IMs have Intermechanica embossed on one rear deck lid hinge.

Call it an early IM or CMC and just enjoy the ride.
