At the awards dinner, Gordon Nicholls inadvertantly credited me with donating several items, (Hawaiian Shirt and Porsche 356 Manuals). Alan Shapiro was the donating member of these items....I should have arrisen and politely corrected Gordon, but was embarassed by the mistake, and did not want to embarass Gordon....I did not mean to cause anyone anguish or anger...SO, please, Alan, Gordon please accept this appology.....I would never want to be a divisive factor within the group.....If I have offended anyone else, it was not my intention, and I ask your forgiveness......

Thank You All....

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....

Leon:

The mess-up was all mine. Along with the terrible weather, I also came down with a ripper of a Sinus infection which didn't seem to respond to over-the-counter medication so I was stoked on Sudafed (the GOOD ones) and pressed on just the same. Lots of people gave me raffle items during Friday and Saturday and, to be honest, in my fuzzy-headed state, some of it became a blur.

The answer is simple: I the future we'll just have sign-in sheets with each item and announce, when they're taken, who contributed each. It's only fair....some people contributed a lot of time and talent, like Cory creating the artwork and East Coast Bruce creating the awards in years past, or me making that pressure brake bleeder, while others contribute some pretty big buck items like the Spooner shirt, the luggage rack, the grill badges or steering box or side trim. Everyone should be recognized for their generosity.

Sorry for the curfaffle, an unfortunate turn in an otherwise up-beat weekend. Both you and AL (and his wife, Bobbi, too) are real nice folks and I'm sure we all understand how things like this happen.

Thanks for the post....

Gordon
