...or exquisitely detailed large scale models?

I can't tell... and it's driving me nuts!!!! ;-)

I'm thinking models, but notice the parking bulbs in the Speedster's
headlight bucket
The tonneau on the speedster looks "rubbery" and maybe that's the giveaway.
Look at the tyre valve stem on the Spyder - also the hubcap retaining clips.

The Mustang style knockoff spinners are unusual and look rather out of place on the Speedster. (Incidentally, these were banned here in SA and future Mustang imports had to have wheel studs only - the spinners were declared potentially dangerous to pedestrians!

I found the pics on a website while surfing for speedsters
Incidentally, these pics are not copyright restricted and offered free for downloading as wallpaper from the site

The 3 pics feature the Speedster, Spyder and American Roadster

Enjoy using them as wallpapers,
Mitch

They look to me like studio photos of real cars. Look closely at the body by the wheel wells. The sheet metal is thinner than our replicars' bodies. The "rubbery" look may simply be a vinyl tonneau cover. If those are models, they are the best I have ever seen. Where did you find those pics?

Richard, what do you feel is inaccurate?

I'll repeat my opinion that they are models. The detail on some of the higher end models is astounding these days. Besides I don't see any puddles of oil under them! The lighting is so uniform that it appears they were photograped in a controlled enviornment. The America Roadsters are documented in the 356 Registry for one. I'll see if I can find it and relate one of them to the silver car pictured.

No Question . . . REAL!

I brought the highest res version into Photoshop and blew it up even larger. You can see the threads of the scews that hold the headlamps in place and even see the spacers. There are caps and nuts and a little misallignment beneath the wiper shafts where the seat on the body and there is a tiny shadow and lifted hold down for the tonneau cover, every detail is in place and then some.

Get Photoshop and try this, it's like being a forensic scientist, the enlargement is enormous and detail staggering.

These cars are beyond art!

Of course , , , they COULD . . . be . . . models . . .
