Attaching badges and trim

Hi folks!

Having my car all legal, I have spent the weekend Driving the car and tweaking....it's now running much better :). (weather has been nice here in Scotland)

Next step is to mount all of the trim.....what she best way of attaching badges, side trim etc....obviously the trim is designed for metal body, not the CMC thick glass body.....what is recommended fixing method. I want the holes drilled prior to paint !

Also, the car is as squeaky as a squeaky thing ! Sounds like fibreglass on fibreglass...any thoughts on reducing this?

(btw, As car has been parked on the road, loads of folks have stopped to ask what it is! Explaining its a beetle, but a rep of a 57 porsche, is very confusing...any better way of describing what it is ????

Hey Gerry - i took some pretty detailed photos of the badge mounting process on my website

poke the emblem through thin cardboard (cereal box worked for me), then tape in desired position and mark with a sharpie (marker).

don't forget to account for the angle of the mounting pins when drilling (ie: drill perpendicular to the body, not straight in as you'd think)
