With the "Super 90" & "Speedster" emblems that I received, the pins on the backs of the emblems are at various angles. The emblems are cast white metal, and you cant bend the pins to straighten them without breaking the pins off. Additionally, the pins are not long enough to clear the body thickness. What are some of the methods that you have used to mount these?

Home Depot has a double sided 3M tape that is suitable for mounting emblems. It has red pull off backing tape. Mounting really comes down to if you want to drill holes or not. I drilled holes (hey, no rust to worry about!) using a cardboard template I made of the pins. I ground the fiberglass in back of where pins go thru so the mounting clips would hold the trim - then I liberally applied clear silicon seal to finish off the back. Super glue could also be used. Downside of tape - The tape makes the emblems stand up a little bit - and tape is white so its obvious on a dark (mine is black) vehicle. I think auto body paint shops do sell black tape. Emblems can faily easily be appropriated off your car - especally on a hot day in the sun. Tedious to cut tape to match contours of the script. Ya have to remove wax from surface with alcohol for good adhesion.
Just a word of caution. When drilling Fiberglass, It's wise to go to a "plastics store" and purchase a drill bit made to penetrate plastic. That bit leaves a clean hole and is less likely to fracture the fiberglass. It's also best to seal the hole because you've now exposed the inner area of the fiberglass. Over time, water can saturate the inner fiberglass cloth and eventually cause a bubble. Readily available items products like varathane, ladies clear nail polish, varnish will work for this task
