Attaching horn Grilles

Take the whole thing down to the nearest ACE Harware, or equiv., and pick out what you need....

Sadly my nearest ACE is 4000 miles away  (im in Scotland)

I've ordered up some m2 and m2.5 bolts to try...

OOPS....   Sorry about that....    Mine are 3mm, and about 25mm long....   I bought them long to be on the safe side....

mine were 3mm but I couldnt find 3mm studs. I got some 3mm bolts, screwed them in  and then cut off the head with my grinder. If you attach a nut on the bolt BEFORE you cut off the head, you can use said nut as a thread chaser(or a die) to clean up the bolt.

If you dont have a 3mm die or use the nut as a chaser you will not be able to thread a nut on  after you cut off the head.

Got my m2.5 today and they are not keen on engaging either, I guess its just a tight M3 ...

Well, they are on now....... After lots of pissing around with every screw pitch known to man I did what I should have done weeks ago,......I bought a M3 bottoming tap and wound an M3 bolt, chopped the head off, added some threadlock and job done.........

Where there's a will, there's always a way!
