Hi Jim,
Yes, my Dad is bringing his bad boy, getting it all tuned up now.
We are looking forward to Paso again this year, we had such a great time last year.
Have a good one!
Jennifer -
That's great you'll be at Paso this year - I have a feeling the weather will be great (remember last year overcast skies) and the crowd will be bigger.
Hopefully you'll be able to hook up with our caravan on Friday morning. See Ya!

Is it battery powered, Angela?

Of course, why do you think I always carry jumper cables? People are so friendly when you say "hey, I need a jump!"

I received bad news yesterday, compounded by more bad news today...
One of my best friends passed away yesterday....(3 weeks younger than me) Today I find out the service is on the 21st of April....
In Santa Cruz.....
I'm thinking I'm fine for Paso until Saturday noon-ish then I'm on the road to Santa Cruz....Will miss the shananagins of Saturday night but that can't be helped......could possibly make it back in time for the Wine run on Sunday...........

Vince, I am sorry to hear of your recent personal loss. I work everyday in that industry and it never gets easy. I have learned to celebrate the life that was lived and gain strengh in knowing we are on a speacial path in life and death is only the next phase of that journey...
Looking forward to seeing you in Paso..

Making it back from a combat zone - and the passing of close friends, are events that put my mortality in perspective. That's why I celebrate each day I have on this earth and honor the memory of loved ones and friends deceased.
Peace - Out!

Sorry to hear of your loss V, all the best.
Very sorry to hear about your friend, Vince.
Losing friends, especially at this age, is tough.
It should remind us all that every day is important and worth living.
See you in Paso.

WOW, I need to apologize to you all, I didn't think I would get this sort of reaction....Thank you.....I have a group of about 20 guys and gals who I go back at least 40 years with and who I partied hard with, and I do mean hard....We practically lived together. Sex, drugs and rock-n-roll was before anything else..long story short, I don't think any of us thought we would see 40, let alone 60.....
We try to gather every few years now..usually birthdays....
I Found out that an autopsy is being performed, and there are circumstances surounding his death that may prevent a timely cremation and service and that the 21st may not work for them.
Besides we have friends scattered all over the world who will be attending any service that is planned.
So I may get to party with you all Saturday night after all....
I do want to thank you all again for your thoughts......
Gerd, You see, this is why I can't leave this group even if I sell the speedster, you don't find these sort of people every day...
It almost makes me feel guilty for starting trouble on occasion...
I said "Almost"..........

Vince, sorry to hear about the loss. I'm glad you guys had some good times together, though. That's more than a lot of people can say when they look back.
As we age, friends and relatives passings become ever so frequent.
One never gets over a loss but somehow, we learn to live with the loss.
With this in mind, spend time with those that you have taken for granted and put off for the next time or when we have a little more time, as we don't have endless time we did as kids for the "next time"

Hey Vince,
I just lost a buddy a few weeks ago (42yrs old). I'll have to say that as hard as it was to take his passing I have some great memories of the times we hung out, getting busted skinny dipping in the ocean with two hotties one night, driving like maniacs to make last call at the beach, the list goes on. I can only smile whenever I think about him. Thats how it works I guess, you make friends while you're here and you stay friends when you're gone. Sorry for you and your other buds for your loss.

Vince...loosing a best friend must be hard!! Two of my good friends last year were diagnosed with breast cancer and they are both doing great today, I couldn't have imagined the loss of either one of them.. ... so,so sad. My thoughts are with you and your friends family.
Jim....don't think will make it to Paso this year. I really need to help my friend with her family's Foundation Golf Tournament. We will miss you guys but will see you soon I'm sure. ~Esther

Esther, I was planning on giving you a lap dance Saturday night, (after a few scotches of course) so I am bumbed that you are not attending....Do we have music at the pool????
The good news is next weekend is free and clear for me. The bad news is I still need to go to Santa Cruz for a service the following weekend...

Vince - lap dance should be OK to go - just DON'T be taking anybody to the VIP Room! LOL
For those heading north to Paso Robles from anyplace southeast of Malibu I want to remind you of the locations and times for meet-ups. Vince posted them on this string. Just scroll up to Vince's post dated 3/19/2007 at 2:36PM.
The Topanga Ranch Cottages are on Pacific Coast Highway just north of the traffic light at Topanaga Canyon Blvd.
Just before the turn-in for the Topanga Ranch Cottages parking lot there is a fish restaurant called "The Reel In". Those coming from the inland areas can exit the 101 Ventura Freeway at Topanga Canyon Blvd and drive through Topanga Canyon to PCH. Then turn right on PCH, when Topanga ends at Pacific Coast Highway.

I see a good lookin' gal in the picture but there is some kind of over-pixelated interference in front of her blocking my view. Must be my computer is acting up again.
Dusty - it's not your computer, it's my pixel-hogging freakishly large noggin blocking my wife's pretty smile! She HATES when that happens!
Hope you and Sharon can join us on our caravan up to Paso!

I dunno, Jim. On my monitor, the pixels look all gray ... At least the part just under what looks like a ball cap ...
We will see you guys at the Topanga ranch cottages , motel, hotel, whatever it is called... Friday morning... Hey and leave that good looking guy alone in that MUG shot. His Be-ute-t-ful wife can not help it if he did not clean the lens before that pix was taken! She looks great, but I do not know what that is to the right of her... LOL.. Nice hat though!

Vince...Iam just messing with you...the weather next weekend is being projected just like you said...but you know things can change.
The picture you posted it reminds of something that happened with my friend's child when she was about 5 years old. She was at a friends house and she was watching the little friend which was a boy go potty , so she came home and told my friend that she wanted the same thing he had "A pickle with a hole" that way she could stand and go potty. Mary called me laughing so hard, she is 19 years old now and we still teaser about it.
