Dude! Those rock! I would love those. Of course they would end up restored and turned pretty fast, but I would love them.

Thanks for the pictures! Those are very rare examples, and would be great pieces for a museum.
This is the second time my wife has found great cars.
I'm not going to restore them. I'm just going through all
the mechanical stuff, get them running and drive them.
It's nice not having to worry about scratching the paint.
The yellow car is really neat. I can't wait to see each car evolve.
Wolfgang,
Didn't Carini come up with a 3 seat Ferrari not to long ago?

Yes he did.

Wolfgang you know your facts. Carini must know 2 of my friends. John Cuccio,
who is 94, was very good fiends with Chinetti. He tells me stories about all the
incredile cars Chinetti would let him take. He was the head of Ford design,
and travelled to Italy to meet with Enzo. He also knew one of the head people
at Porsche in Stuttgart. His stories are amazing. The other person is Francois.
He is the guy who brings me all those incredible cars that I have the honor
to work on. He has incredible stories as well. If you go online, check out
Francois Sicard. There is a story, taken from an article that I can't seem to
place, where Letterman was worried that Francois wouldn't work on his cars!
Robert M found the 3 seater - I'd love to met either of them. Dr Clock has some pretty good stories - takes a beer or 2 to get him started. I like the sealed can of contact cement on the Kerosene heater the best!

Greg,
Here's a short video from that episode of Chasing Classic Cars. The 3 seater was made specifically for one client, Luigi Chinetti, a long time Ferrari importer and past winner of Le Mans. The vehicle was a bespoke vehicle for him. It was an interesting episode even if the 3 seater seems a little odd. Body styling was interesting as it was a compilation of previous cars but the interior was even more interesting even if a little odd.

Ha! Wait till I sit you guys down at Carlisle and tell you what I came across this weekend.
If any of you guys are in the Westport area, I can take you over to
Mr. Cuccio's house. He's 94 but pretty with it. He had a very close
friendship with Chinetti. the stories will blow your minds. Chinetti
imported an very special Ferrari, some kind of prototype, and gave
it to Cuccio to drive. Cuccio's office was in Westport and this was
before radar. Anyway he has incredible stories about when he worked
for Studerbaker. At that time he had a supercharged Alfa. I'll get the
model # from him and get back to you. Did anyone have a chance
to check out Francois Sicard? He had and has a serious connection
to Ferrari's. Check out his website.
Right. Francois basically has 2 main customers. Letterman, and Larry Auriana.
Letterman has about 50 cars and bikes, Auriana has about 100.
Most of the cars Francois brings me, belong to those guys.
