I've been around speedster replicas, building and restoring for a good number of yeasrs and have yet to come across a "Classico". Interesting point is that one of the owners? "Raul" has recently posted here on the SOC muti speedster related items i.e. windshields / interiors etc. for sale as well as seeking a US "importer"...can't excactly answer your question but, thought it best to advise you with I do know...Alan
Theron: I don't want to say something that may be some kind of secret, if Raul is reading this maybe he is in liberty to give us more specifics.

I did not buy my kit directly from them, I bought it from a builder that purchased a large lot, I have been talking to Raul and seems to be a nice guy, I don't knoe what could have happen with the windshield topic.
I also was curious about Rauls posts and looked further into obtaining some interior parts to update my old CMC. Parts look great in photos and when I asked for references, he told me that he suplies bodies to the Suby Speedster guy?

But, I never followed up on it either, simply did not care for the sound of wiring money to a Mexican bank or something like that.

He sounded real enough, but I can't tell you anyhting else for sure.

After I had read a number of posts by Raul aka Auto Classico here on the SOC, I had contacted Raul two-three months ago and got a price for a windshield.
He responded with a bank routing number for payment and that made me wary of doing business with Classico as no credit card payment was acceptable thus, my concerns.
I then emailed him back ststing that if "this" transaction went well I would post a positive post here .

Well on that "note" he disappeared from this site........

I believe Steve at SAW does buy some of his fiberglass bodies from Raul. SAW is very strong on quality control so perhaps SAW will eventually be in a position to comment on their quality. He has not mentioned purchasing anything else from Raul during our conversations. Importing large items from Mexico is not always a slam dunk even with NAFTA. There can be a lot of bureaucratic border activity.
