I have personally seen this car with my own eyes.

Warning - Avoid this pile of crap.

Back when I was looking for a speedster, the seller of this mess contacted me. Before driving out to see it, I asked a lot of questions which the seller skillfully avoided answering. He insisted that I simply come look at the car. I was assured I would not be disappointed.  I rented a trailer and borrowed a truck to go look at it. Upon arrival I was sadly disappointed. I drove 2.25 hours one way and left within 15 minutes of arriving. I took my son along with me. When we left my son asked why the guy didn't tell us it was a 'pile of junk' before we drove all that way. Sharp kid. Apparently smarts skip a generation in my family.

What I remember him telling me and what I took note of when I was there:

  • The body was purchased down in the "LA Area" without a sub frame. Someone tried to create one for it. Current subframe blocks mounting holes for gauges.
  • The deck lid is just the outer skin. There is no inner structure piece. I think the hood may be the same. I forget.
  • The doors are just the outer skins with hand fab'd metal inner structure scabbed onto them. The bumps and nubs you see in the photos above are rivets holding the scabbed structure to the skins. The inner structure is very crude.
  • The pan has holes in it and the welding seams are covered in fiberglass or some other material so you can't inspect how the pan was shortened.
  • The car is no in the garage (as shown in the photos). The car has been moved outdoors and it's sitting under a makeshift awning. It's been sitting out there for quite some time. These photos were taken LONG before it was put outside to rot.

Buyer beware! This one rivals the orange one in Florida!

Ted
