Does anyone have a slick way to remove the caps that do not come with the two side by side holes that fit the remove hook. I do not want to use a screw driver as a pry bar and slip to find myself scratching the chrome caps. Thank you for any other ideas.

WHEN I HAD BABY MOONS ON ANOTHER CAR I WOULD USE A SCREW DRIVER WITH A RAG AT THE END AND RATHER PRY OPEN I WOULD POP THE BACK OF THE SCREW DRIVER AND IT WOULD POP THE CAP OFF. NOW U CAN BUY RUBBER COATING FOR TOOLS SO THAT U COULD DIP THE SCREW DRIVER TIP IN THAT.

Was that when you worked for Midnight Auto Supply?

this sounds like a simple method. Thanx
I've had pretty good luck with a 10"-12" pry bar - the kind that has a 15° bend at the working end. Place the blade under the lip of the hub cap and simply pop it off. If the wheels have softer paint or chrome on them, just put a rag under the leverage point against the wheel.
Wrap appropriate size screw driver tip with electrical tape. Or place tape on wheel in area or pry.
You mean to say yours do not have the little holes on the lip that a pulling U hooks in and the you pop it with a vw tire bar?
I also bought some that don't have the holes.
That stinks.. They make tools to pull them easy.. I'd have to drill them.. it makes it so much easier to get them off. you can find the tool kits at CIP-1.. I have 3 old kits here.. the aftermarket stuff is getting stinky cheaply made
I use a regular carpenters (Flat) Pry Bar used for pulling nails ,that has a flat puller or pry on one end and the other end has a bent end on it! Put a rag at the part that touches your chrome rim ,put the hooked end under the moon and it will come right off without damage!
