Does anyone on here every jack just the back end of your car up and use jack stands - chauking the front end? I know there is no brakes, etc etc, but really done want to have to jack up the whole car if I dont have to...BUT I DO need to get rear wheels off so using a ramp wont work.
Thoughts - Absolutely crazy to even think about doing?

yes... of course.
Jacking up either just the front or just the rear is totally fine.
When I do it I leave the floorjack under as well; just in case you knock the car off the jackstands. al

I won't be under the car...just for a valve adjustment. With the a1 sidewinder the exhaust has to come off and I just don't want to squeeze past the tires. Seems like my last vs was more simple with the 1600 cc motor for some reason...never had to jack it up for a valve adjust
I jack up under the shock support, then put the jack stands under the torsion housing out neer the ends.then pull the jack out& do the other side carfuly. remember the jack will need to roll as the car go up or it will tilt off the stands.
