I know how it feels to work on a car for a looooooong time and finally get it out on the road - Priceless!

I also know that that ride uncovers a few things needing attention, so I hope those are cleared up quickly for even more smiles.

I was under mine for a few hours yesterday, just getting ready for the season (read that, salt-free roads) and I think a lot of others are doing the same about now.

Congratulations!

I got the car needing minor work sometime around the year 2000? I fixed it and drove it a couple years until a divorce and life happened. I sold the car.  A couple years later, I bought the car back after it had been trashed.  I stuffed in in a garage in 2005 until I could get to it ...  well, that didn't happen. I finally decided I wanted to be driving it this spring and moved it to the top of my project list. I added front disc brakes, new shocks, etc. and redid the interior. I went through the motor and also replaced the CMC gold and silver wheels. (It sits pretty low) I still have some things to do, but It's finally on the road!

....  yeah, life happens.  I had a rusted to oblivion '56 Coupe with great running gear: engine, tranny, etc.  Even had a dune buggy shortened VW pan leaning against the wall.  That project Never happened.  Had a '61 S90 that was rusting in all the wrong places.  Planned to have a proper metal butcher get it rebuilt ... never happened.  But hey, now I have a fiberglass Speedster, so life is good again.  I don't worry too much about rust anymore.
