Badges/License Plates

Another "newbie" question: I have seen many photos where rally type badges are "attached" to the rear license plate. Is there a source for the part that connects the badge to the license plate (or does this have to be fabricated special)? Any problems with evil-doers stealing badges that are installed in this fashion?

I've seen badge bars on front bumper (Brit cars - but most mount the car badges on the rear engine grille. A couple badges probably don't impact cooling - a dozen probably would.

On a SAS car it won't affect the cooling at all since the grill is not an air intake.

Douglas -

Badges mounted on the grille are simple and straightforward. No problem with cooling or sticky fingers.

For the badges on our license plate I cut a length of aluminum bar and attach to license bracket bolts.

These aren't the best pics for visual but I'll take some better pics this week.

Thanks for the tip. I have a machine shop and I can fabricate the aluminum pieces needed. Would be easier, however, if they could be purchased from somebody's catalog. Maybe I could start a new multi-million dollar business specializing in these parts and then apply for some bail out money when it flops.
