Al, I most certainly am afflicted with 'the madness'...but not irrational enough to touch that bagged '60 B coupe.

The seller states that it's "road worthy" I think that means that with luck it may hold together for driving it to a Porsche mechanic who has a shelf full of very expensive, rare, OEM Porsche parts....No thank you!

But the molds for an A coupe is an interesting 'fantasy'...although why would he be selling the very backbone of a potentially profitable enterprise???

Ooo-OH

Bill I don't think your "first bid" contention will be considered valid by the SOC Madness Arbitration Committee since you didn't publically, and officially, announce your intention to snag Brandon's black coupe...as I did!

Nevertheless, If my claim isn't upheld by peer review, I'm willing to challenge you to either Indian Arm Wrestling... or a best of two out of three coin flips. According to the rules of chivalry it will be your choice!

Brandon, I'm curious, in all the pictures posted so far when the car is dropped the passenger side rear wheel really cants in compared to the others. Is there a reason for that? Or is it just the pictures?

I've seen a quite a few bagged cars(Granted they are American built vintage makes) and it seems that when fully dropped some of the best looking(and I assume best built) ones all four wheels remain in correct alignment and some of the bagged cars, usually on the front end, will show the extreme negative camber but it will be both on wheels.

Carl is correct regarding the swing axle vs IRS. Both rears will cant in…driver and passenger look the same.

This could be eliminated if you went with an IRS and a smaller wheel.

Part of the reason I went with swing axle is because it would allow a 17" wheel and to get the car as low as I wanted without any rubbing issues.

Carl, I understand that the extreme canting is typical of the swing axle, yet my question is why does the passenger side look canted in way more than the drivers side? From all the pictures of both sides of the car only the passenger side wheel really looks canted in to the extreme.

Were it a Jag/Versaille rear end like my Cobra runs that extreme cant on one wheel would indicate a damaged half-shaft... when I first dropped my Speedster I went way to low on the swing arm and BOTH wheels were extremely canted in like the coupes passenger side wheel...wasn't fun to redo it again...learned a lesson or two there.

Brandon,

What paint did you use?  how many coats of paint and clear?

Your car is so shinny I can use it as a mirror to comb my hair in front of it.

Another question.  Did you chrome the rims and other parts

of the car.  It looks amazing, you're a true artist!

Blasco.

Thanks for the kind words Blasco!

JPS painted the car. I'm not sure what type of paint or the quantity of coats they applied. I think they did a pretty decent job with it. There were a few areas of concern, most of which were able to be corrected, thanks to the detailer I use.

Rims and all other chrome parts were ordered the way you see them. No chroming had to be done.
