I'll be in Bakersfield Sunday and Monday. Anyone interested in doing a run to Kernville on Sunday for lunch and a few beers? From Kernville we can head east on the 178 to the 58 west thru Tehachapi then detour at Bear Mt Blvd and parade thru the wonderful, exquisit farm community of Arvin, CA.... or we can just keep going on the 58 and head for home!

Rusty, Can't make it but if you hit Arvin be sure to stop at the big super market in town. If you are into Mexican food, and who in CA isn't, it will blow you away. The bakery is muy bueno!
I was thinking more along the lines of Elva's Greasy Spoon... Where besides Arvin can you go to a place like that and survive.
Rusty, I only get up your direction passing though or in my camper to the Sand Canyon area for the weekend. If you have the time try for the Rudder Room on Dec. 15. See the Events post. Or,maybe propose a run meeting at the top of the old Ridge Route road someday with those of us on the west side meeting you valleyites.
