Vintage Speedsters will build what the owner specifies.  I had an IRS wide body built by Vintage in 1998.  Several members of SOC have talked about their Vintage IRS replicas.  With wide bodies, the slight extra width of IRS vs. swing is not a factor.

Granted, if an owner wants wider than stock tires/rims, Vintage will specify the slightly narrower swing axle, so the vast majority of builds are swing.

Yeah, I'm about to get my 67-year-old body contorted all around on the cold, cold ground to get a tape measure under the car and up to the space between the trailing arms to see how far they are apart - Right.....I'm gonna do that.

Oh, LOOK!  It's got BALLS!

(Yeah, I know we're at the wrong end.....We had to start looking somewhere.....)

Instead, maybe you could just look under there to see if there are rubber booties at the ends of the front trailing arms - Link Pins don't have rubber booties, ball joints do.
