I've got a 2015 Vintage Speedster and need to know if it has ball joints or link pins. Since I wouldn't know either if I saw one, does anyone know what might be in my car?

I believe all Vintage Speedsters are ball-joint front end and swing-axle rear.
I've been told the same and mine is. For you science types that is an N of 1.

Stan, you're an artist/plumber!
Vintage Speedsters will build what the owner specifies. I had an IRS wide body built by Vintage in 1998. Several members of SOC have talked about their Vintage IRS replicas. With wide bodies, the slight extra width of IRS vs. swing is not a factor.
Granted, if an owner wants wider than stock tires/rims, Vintage will specify the slightly narrower swing axle, so the vast majority of builds are swing.
Not really. I just know how to do a websearch.
If I'm not mistaken (and BOY! Would THAT be a first!) Al Gallo has a VS with a link pin front end as he just replaced the pins a while back. I have no idea what year the pan was, and with all of the swapping of front beams going on, who knows where the beam came from? It might take a few days for Al to respond to this, though.
Another way to tell the 2 front suspensions apart- the king & link pin has 2" between the top and bottom beam bolt holes, while the ball joint is 2 3/4". Of course, the easiest is to look at the shape of the shock towers (refer back to Stan's excellent diagrams)...
Your welcome
My 2001 built VS has a ball joint front with swing axle. The car was built on a 1960 pan which originally came with a link pin set-up and it was converted by VS.
Yeah, I'm about to get my 67-year-old body contorted all around on the cold, cold ground to get a tape measure under the car and up to the space between the trailing arms to see how far they are apart - Right.....I'm gonna do that.
Oh, LOOK! It's got BALLS!
(Yeah, I know we're at the wrong end.....We had to start looking somewhere.....)
Instead, maybe you could just look under there to see if there are rubber booties at the ends of the front trailing arms - Link Pins don't have rubber booties, ball joints do.

Does a rubber booty make it a cardasian?

Like this? On ebay now
Those things just look awkward... Like they dont fit right.
Wait... What are you talking about?... Im talking about the 4 lug wheels and the nipple/crest hubcaps on the speedster.
You know, I disappear for a couple of hours (took my daughter to syncronized swimming practice) and this is what I come back to? Talk about lack of adult supervision...
Her brea$tS are larger than the air cleaners and just as fake as the car.

Ted, I thought for sure the first thing you noticed in the photo, like most of us, was that the windshield wipers are 'parked' on the wrong side.
Whoa?! What the heck? Im just gping to go put on a limb and guess they dont work well.
With the VW wiper mechanism, they can be made to park on either side. I parked mine on that side so I wouldn't have to look at them while driving.
