Baltimore area visit coming up

I will be in the Baltimore area on 31 Jan for a meeting the next day, and was wondering if any of y'all wanted to get together for dinner, etc. I've already spoken to Cory who is working but will try to make it.

Excellent! I will probably be staying near the airport and am not sure whether or not I will have a rental car. As soon as travel arrangements are finalized, I'll let y'all know. Be thinking of where we should eat.

i believe crabs are out of season, maybe oysters are in.

Nah, they always have crabs...just may not be locally grown.

that is true, im a Maryland born dude. left in 68 for Nam and only go back to visit my sis in Crisfield(blue crab capital of the world). i go to Sams here and they have shelled blue crab from mexico (not the same) but its all i got.

Dont kid yourself, not all crabs consumed in Maryland Restaurants are Maryland Blue's, no matter the time of year. Oysters are great right now. Ive been eating them atleast once a week. there are several places around Baltimore we could go to. Ryleighs is an oyster house in my neighborhood, Federal Hill. A new oyster house just opened up over in Fell's Point, Ive heard good things. There is Mama's on the Half Shell over in Canton. One of my favorite seafood and sunday brunch places to go (killer bloody mary's). I dont get out of the city unless Cory invites me to a car show. I am pretty much clueless as to where to gather beyond the city limits. There is that mill place south of here. Vague enough? :)

The last couple of times we met Lane in town we went to G&M's near the airport,,,good crab cakes.

UPDATE: Well crapola! Looks like this trip has been postponed and the new date is TBD. The new new tasking I am ramping up on may prevent me from attending when it does occur. I'll keep you all posted.
