I participated in a cruise of a couple of the barrier islands (Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms) with the local PCA chapter today and took a few pictures at Fort Moultrie.  Today was the 240th anniversary of the first battle of Charleston so we toured the museum and got a demonstration of a squad loading a firing muskets.  Kinda cool even though it was very hot.  Here is a link to the pictures:

Oh, the last two pics are of Dave Deracola, a friend of mine who put on the event.  I just took those to mess with him.

My wife and I would have enjoyed that trip because the shoreline view from Fort Moultrie of the ocean entrance into Charleston Harbor is both breathtaking and inspiring for anyone who has a deep interest in American history. 

And a s-l-o-w cruise by car through Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms would be mandatory for anyone who enjoys looking at beautify homes, and because the speed limit there is s-t-r-I-c-t-l-y enforced.
