Imho the driving vid here already has netted the seller $20k.

How about $50,000.
Our little R cars seem to be gaining some acceptance these days.
All good.
As for the driving video, only four more months...but at this point in Winter, I might bid $50,000
He’s have got $30k without the vid is what I meant.
Makes me wonder what my Speedster would catch if I put it up on BaT...
Hmmmmmmm.......

You go straight to the bathroom and wash your mouth out with soap right now!

@ALB Don't worry, I would still stay in the madness family
It had to have been over a year or two ago I was chatting with Greg @Vintage Motorcars Inc @VSpyder and he was finishing a Spyder build for a gentleman back east. It was beautiful. Silver, tan interior, blue accents, and one insanely built subie NA engine in the back. Greg took me around the block and my a@@ was puckered and enjoying the thrill of all that power in such a light car. Just a fun fast go cart style convertible...
Ever since then, I've had this itch to redo the garage cars. Keep the Coupe and finish it, part with the Speedster and have Greg build me out a Spyder with an NA subie engine pushing 200+ hp comfortably, wilwoods all around, better geared transmission, etc... add my touches/design and have Greg refine. I even asked Greg at one point if we could fit a Toyota FRS motor in a Spyder. I had an FRS back in the day and dropped a Jackson Racing Rotrex Super Charger in it... holy hell was it fast and furious!
Needless to say, CoVid and working in Healthcare has taken a toll on my time, stress, emotion, etc... In fact, I'm heading out to work today and help administer vaccines. So as I ponder the sale of Eleanor... I'll still be in this madness family... and my entire family will be in this madness family for the LONG haul ;-)
That must have been Phil Luebbert's car you had a ride in. I drove it, and it's QUICK!
LongFella, I wouldn't put more power in a swingaxle Spyder than Phil has. If you want more, make sure it's IRS.

I believe it was. It was a gorgeous build, classic in a since, but with a crazy amount of power.
He had the subie engine modded, right?
Yes. Ported heads, different cams, and Stinger ECU.

That’s it! I remember there was a challenge refining the ECU, but ultimately got it dialed in :-)

All true. I didn't drive it, but right-seated at Carlisle '19.
Crazy fast.
