Battery Replacement

I received some excellent advice from several of you regarding my battery replacement. I obtained the Odyssey battery as suggested and it fit nicely in my existing battery tray. One of you suggested laying it flat which I would not have thought of and another suggested fabricating an aluminum strap to secure it which I did and it works nicely. One other thing I did which might be of use to someone out there is cutting a thin rubber pad to fit in the tray which goes underneath the battery to cushion it and keep it from sliding. I also cut a strip of rubber to fit between the aluminum strip and top of the battery before tightening the aluminum strip to help further reduce any battery movement and resulting battery abrasion. Probably overkill but there is a lot of bouncing in that engine well. Thank you all again for your valuable advice!

That sounds like exactly what I did. The rubber Kept everything in place nicely.
