Bay Area caravan to Paso

Can I guess the plan is about the same as last year: Leave the coffee shop in S. San Jose at 9:00 on Friday AM.

I'm coming in from Santa Rosa, so planning to leave to SJ no later than 7:00 AM. Anyone else chasing with me to the San Jose rendezvous?

sounds good to me - I'm close to the vicinity of last year's San Jose rendevouz point ("Cool Beans" Coffee Shop) - so I'll plan on meeting there.....RickJ

Timing sounds good to me. I was thinking Starbucks in the Cosentinos/Evergreen parking lot though. They have more space and it's not as far from the freeway.

The only problem I have is route. I may have to split from you guys and go down 101 solo, when you cut over to 1, because of having to get things setup in Paso.

If you decide to forsake Hwy 5 and come down 101 like you did last year, Arch and I are planning to leave N. Santa Rosa at 7:00 on Friday in order to catch the guys in San Jose by 9:00.

Which re-opens the subject -- besides Rick and maybe Theron, who are we catching in San Jose, and where?

Mark - looks like (90% sure) that I have to leave on Wednesday. I have work in the Paso Robles area on Thursday, as long as it doesn't cancel out on me...

Looks like I will be unfashionably early...But, my trip is paid for!

Glad to hear that you're going to join the group driving down to Paso!

As you're tooling along the highway and backroads in a string of Speedsters/Spyders, with passers-by and other motorists gawking at your car and seeing how much fun you're having, you'll be thinking "...I shoulda got this car a long time ago"!

Just to confirm. We will be in the Cosentino's parking lot at about 8:45. I was going to be a bit earlier, but my house sitter can't pickup the key until 8:30.
Hopefully we will be leaving for Paso a bit after 9.

Theron -- don't wait for the two spyders to come in from Santa Rosa. Patrick just emailed me with regrets he and his wife have to cancel their reservations due to the weather. Ann and I can decide to go or no-go at any time Friday, which at this point looks like it would be later Friday. However, a forecast with anything more than 50% rain at any time we are on the road is a definate no-go for us too. Asside from no top, we don't even have wipers. Probably tomorrow morning's forcasts will be the final decider for us.

Mary and I will be at the Starbucks @ or before 9am - she's in the "Recycled Treasures" part of the Saturday events so will have her Buick loaded - if the weather's good I'll be there with the Spyder, if not, I'll be loaded in the Buick with the rest of the stuff.

Theron -- Loading the spyder right now! Blue skies, white clouds, just a touch of gray. We'll be leaving Santa Rosa around 8:30 +/-, so we'll miss the rendezvous in SJ. If it looks this good when we get to Prunedale we'll head for Monterey and the coast.
