I am going to consign both my TR 550 Spyder and Beck 356 Speedster replicas to an auction scheduled in early June, due to some continuing health issues.
Both cars were built to similar specifications and are essentially new: professionally-built 1914 cc engine with dual Solex carbs, HD 3.88 transaxles, silver exteriors and red leather interiors, etc. Each has a clear title as 1955 Porsche replicas. They have less than 50 miles on them.
Before I do consign them to the auction, I want to offer them to forum members. The firm cash price for the Speedster is $23,700, which is nearly $8,000 less than the turn key price from the manufacturer with the options this car has.
Delivery in the Midwest may be possible.
Please email me at preuss2@charter.net before Monday, April 6th for more information.

The Spyder is $24,700. The price is firm. the current list from the manufacturer is over $40,000 as built.
It was built to TR turn-key specifications with a SCAT 0-miles 1915 cc dual Solex engine, TransWorks 3.88 heavy duty transaxle, and more, including a matching TR hardtop. See my posting at SpyderOwners, Classifieds, for more information or better yet, email me directly at preuss2@charter.net.
Thanks,
Jim
Thanks for the good wishes and cautions. The auction company has been in business for over 50 years and I have dealt with the company managing the auction for some time.
I've had a number of inquiries, but nothing certain yet. If you are interested, please contact me ASAP since I will commit to the consignment soon.
Thanks for the interest and emails.
Both cars are no longer available for private sale since I have consigned them to an auction on June 5 & 6 in St. Louis: http://www.motoexotica.com/auction.htm
The Speedster is entered in the Horseless Carriage Car Show on Easter Sunday in Forest Park in St. Louis. If any forum member in the area attends the show, stop by and say hello.
