I ordered ythe VDO speedster replica gauges from Beck a few monthds ago (Brazilian Gauges $375.00 for set)
Upon installation I noticed that all the gauges worked, with the exception of the Tach. Weirdly enough it read 2X the actual rpm. At a decent idle it read 2000 rpm, and at a slight increased rev, the tach would read 5-5500 RPM. Talked with Greg at Beck, and he agreed that the gauge must be defunct somehow. I returned the tach, and their so busy it took them 2 weeks to get me a new one (I'm in northern Cal and they're in southern Cal). Received Tach #2 and as I walked to the ngarage to begin installation, I heard a distinct rattle in my hand. Upon examination I could see that the face was loose and rattling. It had also scratched itself the entire circumference of the face......Another call to Greg at Beck. He was in some disbelief, but I assured him that the box was undamaged and the gauge was NOT damaged in freight.
I indicated that I was in a rush, so paid the $27.00 for overnight, expecting that Greg would sense my urgency and either overnight or 2nd day the new gauge to me. I still hadn't seen the new one 7 days later.....I called, greg said "gee they have been busy", and they would send it out right away......well today is 12 days since they received the 2nd bad tach and I haven't seen the ups guy yet.

Lesson(at least for me)is "If you want parts promptly, it may not be worth the lower price of dealing with Beck Motorsports"
