The specs say my tank holds 14 gallons and the results of an field test, by the builder, told me that he put in 13.8 when nearly empty. I don't know what the absolute usable capacity is by my own testing but I do know that after 250 miles, give or take, I ready for a stretch my legs and that's a good time to top off and make a pit stop. If that means I have to stop twice on the way to Carlisle, so be it. I do think that this leaves plenty of fuel in reserve.
Good idea Jon, had the tank made by a company in Yakima, Wa. made a template from cardboard and then did the cut and fit thing, is made out of aluminum and hold about 15+ gals. have not had the chance to do a front and back wieght check yet, but will let you know when I do. The tank was not cheap, but they kept all the info on their comp. so more could be made. Was made to fit my Beck, so not sure how it would work in other cars. Most the trips I take are cross country and just needed more gas to get from point A to point B. Any more questions, just let me know.

Thanks, Jerry
