Tom---I used to sell pre war banjos on ebay---these sold for $20,000-$35,000.  I always put them on with no reserve and the bidding was furious.  Something to think about.  Call me on the phone and I'll tell you how to not loose if the hight bid goes for less than you like (501/760-2889).  I never had to use the "out" as every banjo always sold satisfactorily.

History as best I can reconstruct.  Car was sold to Beck Dealer in Colorado.  They assembled and sold to 1st owner in California in 2005.  Owner had some sorting issues and was frustrated by the process to get it registered, which he never did.  He pretty much lost interest.  It sat I his garage until last summer.  I bought it last August with 840 kilometers on the odometer and shipped it straight to Special Edition for a once over to be sure all was as it should be.  Carey & the guys gave it a clean bill of health except for Carbs.   Rebuild did not satisfactorily solve the problem so New Carbs were installed and problem solved – runs great!  I added a number of cosmetic enhancements – Porsche badges, nipple hubcaps, 12v outlets, mesh stone grilles, grab handle, repro marchal  lights, LEDs, 3rd brake light, and more.  Car is now well sorted and runs great!  It is a really nice car and I would not be selling if I were not buying a house and need the cash.  I will have another very soon.

Tom

Car is on eBay and strange bidding put the car over the reserve.  I was VERY nervous it was a scam.  Talked to eBay and was somewhat reassured.  Finally spoke to the actual bidder and confirmed it is a real legit bid. He wants the car.  Bottom line is it looks like it will sell.  I was hoping for more, but it will do.  Now hopefully there will be a little flurry of bidding at the end and help fund refurb of my man cave in the new digs.
