Brand New 2004 Beck Speedster:

1915cc CB Performance built Engine (Approx. 200 Miles On Car)
125HP (1600# Car) Porsche Crest added to Hood latch and Steering Wheel Horn Button, Left the rest clean... Billet pedal covers and matching shifter knob. Brand New custom made High Grade/Light Weight car cover. Never been taken out of the box. (Car has been in garage) (4) Mangels Wide 5 Pattern 15 x 5.5 Wheels that I planned on upgrading to down the road. (never taken out of box) Upgrade High Performance Exhauts System (sounds great!!!) Complete Zaino "Show Car" detail Kit just purchased to maintain car. ($125 value)
Full & 1/2 Tonue cover.....Full size spare tire that fits in compartment under front hood.....

I've emailed an inquiry to Beck because I would like to see if I could get one minus the engine/trans. I have enough stuff complete a car and like the Beck for the chassis design and just the way the spare fits in the trunk. $22k is a bit much for me to pay when I normally build my own stuff so I just thought I would ask.

Was it hard to find insurance on a special construction vehicle?

I plan on registering this car 1/3/2005. Under California Speciality Constructed Vehicle Law. There is currently a limit of 500 per year but I hear it may soon be unlimited. I plan on registering her as a 1956 Porsche Speedster under this law. I also understand that I will probably not have to pay tax as DMV assumes I have already paid tax on individual parts!!! I hope it goes smoothly!!!
