'60's and 70's British sports cars (TR, MG, AH) and some British sedans used Lucas L594 beehive glass lenses - both single and double filament. They have nice period looking red, amber and clear lenses available with a narrow chrome trim ring. I used them for my front turn signals. Suspec they are maybe 3/8" smaller that OEM rear 356 beehives - cost is only $30 each new though. Source - Moss Motors and others.
The very first ones in 48 or 49 had a very different tail light ,Could have been a Benz part.

But I'm thinking 51 through mid 57 on the beehive. Also I have seen the banjo steering wheel on as early as a 52 as a factory part the door handles also were changed in 56 or 57.

If you want a trusty handbook, Get a copy of (The 356 Porsche)by Brent Johnson. That's a big help.
These are Lucas L594 glass lenses with amber bulbs. You can get single or dual filament bases. I added extra black rubber gasket behind OEM one. These were used on '60s MGs/AH/TR and othe British sports cars. LF one is how they really look. The lenses come in red and dark amber too. They have a nice chrome ring. Later cars used plastic lenses that were flatter and slightly larger. Try MossMotors for them.
