While they are a tiny bit different, there are some Lucas beehives that are the same total diameter and only a little taller and they are glass!!!! The beehive is created on the inside of the glass so they do look a tiny bit different, but the benefits are worth it, you don't melt lenses, they stay clear, and they are the same color of red, but since they are glass they let much more light through.

I would never recommend the originals over the Lucas ones, I took my originals off for the Lucas ones and love them. You would have to be an extreme purist to want to have the original plastic ones and the Lucas units are about 1/2 the price.

Go to my photos for more pictures of the comparison...I have downloaded a series showing the differences...it is hard to show how much brighter they are, but I made and attempt.
Robert please post your part numbers and description and contact information for the assemblies.....this way future people seeing this thread will have the information.

Also if you would like the front beehives to be glass you can buy the clear units and they will slide into the exact same spot as our front turn signals.

I suggest anyone doing this to make sure you buy the entire assembly....the dipole socket if your running dipole, and the boot to cover the socket is integral to holding the lens so it is an absoulute must, later replacement pieces can be bought individiually.

The sockets have a special lucas style connection on the back and if your picky you may want to by the pieces that go on the end of your wires and then go into these lucas connections.....I didn't do this, but instead ran my wires through the metal connections and then used pliers to crimp down the wire. Just as secure and maybe more secure in my opinion.

Here is where I got mine, but they may have been more money??
