Michael, here are some photos of my Berg 5 mount.

I have the later version front mount, which uses aluminum blocks. The rear mount incorporates rubber blocks.

This definitely transmits more engine and transaxle noise to the car than the stock tranny and mounts, especially if you use Weddle gears for 3rd and 4th, but now you can pretend you're Hans Herrmann at the Targa Florio.

 

 

No. The front mount is hung off the Berg mid-mount.  There are two square tubes coming forward from the mid-mount.  On the ends of the tubes are either the rubber or aluminum bits.  Then there is a plate on the other side of the rubber or aluminum that connects to the attachment points on the pan.

The picture shows the mount for a '73 and later pan.

It is hard to see the rubber pieces but they are between the square tubes and the bent plate.
